Tom was born in SLC, Utah to Marie Hibberd Johnson Kemp and Redge Lyle Johnson October 8, 1949. He married the love of his life Nancy Reece Nazzise Johnson July 28, 2001.
Tom graduated from Murray High School and proceeded to begin his work in many areas. Self-employed most of his life, Tom was a true entrepreneur. Drywall, painting custom homes (TNT Painting), RV park, pawn shop owner (M&S Pawn) in Ely, Nevada were a few of his endeavors.
When he could no longer physically continue to work because of MSA (Multiple System Atrophy) he dabbled in restoring antiques.
Tom was a member of the Murray Eagles. He loved to camp, fish and travel. He cruised Mexico, the Caribbean, the Mediterranean and traveled throughout the United States. His favorite vacation spot was Kona, Hawaii where he visited many times and made many friends. Kona, Hawaii will be his last resting place.
Tom is survived by wife Nancy Nazzise Johnson; his mother Marie Johnson Kemp, step-father Keith Kemp; his brothers and sisters Caroline Hall (Walt), Mary Sue Fuelling (Dale), Marlene Bowers (Larry) and Mark Johnson (Alene). His children Bret Brockmeier (Darcy), Tina Easter (Brandon) and step-son Nicholas Nazzise. He is also survived by his grandchildren Devan, Rhett, Tyler, Oakley, Alexis, Kayla and Jacob. Preceded in death by his father Redge Lyle Johnson.
A celebration of Tom’s life will be held at Club 90 in the Green Room October 24, 2011 Monday from 12-2 pm. Dress is casual.
We wish to thank Desiree Robinson for her loving care of Tom and Nicholas Nazzise for all the time he spent caring for his step-dad. We would also like to express our appreciation to Rocky Mountain Hospice especially Michelle & Rebecca and Tom’s private Dr.’s Elena James & Lauren Schrock.
We will forever miss Tom’s sense of humor, goofy antics and loving ways. He truly was a lover of life and fun.
