Raymond Marks

(April 25, 1921 - October 17, 2011)

WE'LL MISS YOU POP
Our kind and gentle Father, Grandfather and Great-Grandfather left this world peacefully at his home on the evening of October 17, 2011. He was born in Murray, Utah April 25, 1921 to John and Lucia Marks. He grew up in Bingham Canyon and graduated from Bingham High. He served his country in WW2 in London England.
Ray married his sweetheart "Toots" Ada Neilson April 12, 1946. They met at a Saturday night dance at the Rainbow Rendezvous the night before Pearl Harbor. Their fate was sealed in their instant love for each other, together they made a life and raised four beautiful children. Ray worked as a foreman of the Oil House at Kennecott Copper. He had a keen and inventive mind, a legacy that lives today in his offspring.
Ray was preceded in death by his wife Ada, his parents, five sisters and one brother. He is survived by his children, Susan McShane (Lynn) Mick Marks (Nancy) David Marks (Carol) Nancy Farrell (Scott) and numerous Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren who are the blessed survivors of this extraordinary man.
Special thanks from the family to the fine people at the VA Medical Center and the caring people at CNS Hospice. Our need was brief, but thanks for being there, the loving care was very welcomed!
