Jessie Lenore Holt Warner passed away October 4, 2011 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Born September 16, 1934 in South Jordan, Utah to Tracy Golden Holt and Jessie Emma Beckstead Holt. She was married to Gerald “Jerry” Warner in South Jordan November 4, 1955, later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
Jessie was a member of the LDS Church and had many callings in Primary, Sunday School and Relief Society. She worked at Beneficial Life, the family store “Holts Service” and was a librarian at the South Jordan Elementary School until she retired. She was strong and courageous during her struggle with Alzheimer’s.
She loved to walk, loved traveling, holidays and birthdays with her family. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was always there for anyone in need and spent her whole life giving compassionate service to those around her. Her sweet spirit and presence will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Survived by her daughters, Kay Lynn (Ken) Rowberry, Julie Barlow, Lori (Dale) Winward; grandchildren, Brad (Jamie), Brent (Brittney), Becky (Kris), Jared, Aubrey, Ty and Bailey; great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Dylan, Makenzie, Fayth and Kitana.
Preceded in death by her loving husband Gerald “Jerry” Warner, father, mother, sisters and her best friend, Dorothy.
Funeral services Monday, October 10, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley, 1007 West South Jordan Parkway, South Jordan, Utah. Viewing on Sunday from 5-7 pm at the funeral home and one hour prior to services.
