“Gone Golfing”

Our beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother returned to his Heavenly Father October 7, 2011 from complications of a stroke he suffered in 2010.
Ottie was born December 12, 1932 to Ottis W. Ainsworth and Ada Beatrice Campbell. Sadly, his mother passed away that day from complications of childbirth. Ottie spent his early years in the home of his Aunt Vallie. Later he joined his father, stepmother, and siblings in Shreveport, LA. The family moved to Utah and he attended South High. He was active in sports and had many great friends.
Ottie married Margaret Kay Farnswoth November 17, 1953, in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they raised five wonderful children. He was a great dad. He was involved in all of their activities, spending many hours caring for his children. He was proud of their accomplishments. His grandchildren were so special to him. He loved spending time with them taking them to the park, going to their ballgames, or taking them for a treat.
Ottie was a member of the LDS church and served in many positions including Elders Quorum presidency, Sunday School presidency, and Cub Master. He was an Eagle Scout. He served in the National Guard 8 years. He worked as a sales rep for Warner Lambert, Gillette, and Revlon.
Ottie loved the game of golf. He was a well known amateur golfer and played in many tournaments. In later years, he worked at Hidden Valley Country Club, He enjoyed working and playing there.
Ottie is now free to golf on Heavenly Greens. His passing leaves a great void in our lives. Beatrice you can finally hold your son. Thank you for his life.
Survived by his wife Maggie. Sons, Mark, Riverton, UT; Kevin (Emma), Tigard, OR; Brian (Darci), SLC, UT; Tim, Riverton, UT. Daughter, Susan (Brian) Jeppesen, Hot Springs Village, AR. 18 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren. Brothers, Charles (Ruthal) and Jerry, Henderson, NV. Sister, Bibbit Pierce, Shreveport, LA. Brother in law, Jim (Patty) Farnsworth, SLC, UT. Preceded in death by parents and sister Betty Jeanne Craner.
Funeral services will be held Saturday October 15, 2011 at 12:00 noon at the Tithing Hill Ward 1208 West 12400 South. Viewings will be held on Friday from 6:00 to 8:30 pm at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley, 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway (10600 So.) and on Saturday from 10:30 to11:30 am prior to services at the church.

“A good life well lived”

Richard 'Dick' White, Jr., faithful husband, devoted father and decorated war veteran, gracefully passed away on the morning of October 7, 2011.
He will be profoundly missed by his children Liz, Rick, Pete and Jeff, their spouses John, Frankie and Connie, his grandchildren Johanna (husband Greg), James, Dan, Rick (wife Katie), Stephen, Brian, Jill, and Eric and great grands Abigail, Sam and Hailyn.
Dad was a consummate storyteller and spent his last days and hours retelling some of his favorite life events. His words of encouragement and trust will be remembered by us all. We were taught the best things in life are not possessions, that social responsibility was a requirement for being human, and that this is a remarkable world that we are privileged to enjoy. He was tolerant of most, although there were a few Republicans who tried his patience. We were blessed by his sense of humor, his sense of honor, his devotion to family and his integrity.
He became a baptized Catholic shortly before the passing of his beloved wife Beverly, but actually was a better Catholic than most of us starting shortly after their wedding. We are lucky to have inherited his love of travel, chocolate chip cookies, the History Channel, all books, some politics, and maybe an occasional toddy.
At 92 years old his vision weakened but his mind and positive outlook remained forever strong. We bless dad as he continues his journey and we know he blesses our journeys. A private family service has been held as dad wanted.

Our beloved son, brother and friend Brent passed away at age 59 on October 7, 2011. He was born in SLC, Utah to Yvonne Mead Anastasion and Arthur Grant Laxman. Brent loved his Nascar, music, the Utes and fishing at his cabin with his family. He was an avid reader and had his early career in banking. Later he started and successfully established an insurance brokerage company.

He was preceded in death and is now together with his father, his youngest brother Paul and step-father Glen A. Billings. Brent is survived by his mother, brother Arthur Scott Laxman and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and also Glen’s children, Kim, Stan, Randall and Glenna.
A special thank you to Scott, nephews John and Greg Wittwer and many others. Brent will be greatly missed.
Graveside services will be Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Elysian Burial Gardens, 1075 East 4580 South, Salt Lake City, Utah.

Jessie Lenore Holt Warner passed away October 4, 2011 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Born September 16, 1934 in South Jordan, Utah to Tracy Golden Holt and Jessie Emma Beckstead Holt. She was married to Gerald “Jerry” Warner in South Jordan November 4, 1955, later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

Jessie was a member of the LDS Church and had many callings in Primary, Sunday School and Relief Society.
She worked at Beneficial Life, the family store “Holts Service” and was a librarian at the South Jordan Elementary School until she retired. She was strong and courageous during her struggle with Alzheimer’s.
She loved to walk, loved traveling, holidays and birthdays with her family. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was always there for anyone in need and spent her whole life giving compassionate service to those around her. Her sweet spirit and presence will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Survived by her daughters, Kay Lynn (Ken) Rowberry, Julie Barlow, Lori (Dale) Winward; grandchildren, Brad (Jamie), Brent (Brittney), Becky (Kris), Jared, Aubrey, Ty and Bailey; great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Dylan, Makenzie, Fayth and Kitana.
Preceded in death by her loving husband Gerald “Jerry” Warner, father, mother, sisters and her best friend, Dorothy.
Funeral services Monday, October 10, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley, 1007 West South Jordan Parkway, South Jordan, Utah. Viewing on Sunday from 5-7 pm at the funeral home and one hour prior to services.

Our loving caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and cousin, returned to our Heavenly Father and into the arms of her loving husband and son and numerous family members. It was a joyous occasion. We will miss her greatly, she was a shining example to all, she spent her life caring for others. She was the 8th and youngest child of Emma Robertson and Jonathon Bealby Heaton.

She was the sweetest, most generous person to all. Her greatest joy was serving others, she worked in the Denver Temple the 1st year it was open and had several other church callings. She was a very good seamstress, sewing for others. She also enjoyed quilting, crocheting, reading and genealogy.
She graduated from Jordan High in 1939 and attended BYU. She worked at Utah Poultry candling eggs, then in the office. She also worked in the Safeway Bakery Office in Salt Lake, Oklahoma and Denver.
She married Ray Edward Smith, later divorced. Married Jack H. Redman, May 20, 1964, later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on September 8, 1965
Survived by son, Steven (Marsha) Smith; daughters, Sheila (Mel) Nottle and Linda (Joe) Arrington; daughter-in-law, Patrice Dickerson Smith; step-sons, Richard, Jerry (Claudia) Redman; step-daughter, Judy Redman; 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and many, many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by husband, Roy; husband, Jack; son, Dennis and step-son Johnny.
