(December 8, 1917 - October 31, 2011)
Elizabeth “Beth” Green Ovard was born in American Fork to Erastus and Emily Adamson Green. Beth was baptized in the LDS Church at age 18. She married her sweetheart, Wyman J. Ovard Sept. 6, 1942; later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. They enjoyed more than 69 years together, mostly in Murray, Utah.
Beth enjoyed traveling with her family, and she took great joy in her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was faithful in her church service and particularly loved visiting teaching. Survived by husband; children, Sharon (Reed) Williams, Kay (Lisa) Ovard, and Scott (Claudia) Ovard; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents; 2 brothers; and 4 sisters.
Funeral services will be Friday, November 4, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the LDS Ward, 5735 S. Fashion Blvd. Friends and family may call Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 S. State St., and one hour prior at the church on Friday. Interment: American Fork Cemetery.
